The sample level heat map view

In the heat map (figure 33.73), each column and row represents a sample. The distance between two samples dictates the color of the corresponding cell and can be seen in the table view (Image table_16_n_p). See Normalization and clustering for details on how expressions are normalized and distances are calculated.

The following can be configured in the Side Panel:

Heat map. General options for configuring layout and coloring.

Columns. Options for configuring the display of the heat map columns.

Rows. Options for configuring the display of the heat map rows.

Metadata. Options for vizualizing metadata associated with the Expression tracks (Image rnaseqtrack_16_h_p).
