Fast or accurate alignment algorithm
The Create Alignment tool offers two algorithms for calculating alignments:
- Less accurate (fast). Use an optimized alignment algorithm that is very fast. This is particularly useful for datasets with very long sequences.
- Very accurate (slow). The recommended choice unless the processing time is too long.
Both algorithms use progressive alignment. The faster algorithm builds the initial tree by doing more approximate pairwise alignments than the slower option.
