Restriction site analysis
There are two ways of finding
and showing restriction sites:
- In many cases, the dynamic restriction sites found in the
Side Panel of sequence views will be useful, since it is a quick
and easy way of showing restriction sites.
- In the Toolbox you will find the other way of doing restriction site analyses. This
way provides more control of the analysis and gives you more output
options, e.g. a table of restriction sites and you can perform the
same restriction map analysis on several sequences in one step.
First, the
Dynamic restriction sites
describes the dynamic restriction sites, followed by
"the
toolbox way". This section also
includes an explanation of how to simulate a gel with the selected
enzymes. The final section in this chapter focuses on enzyme lists
which represent an easy way of managing restriction enzymes.
