Moving and rotating

Structure files are simply rotated by holding down the left mouse button while moving the mouse. This will rotate the structure in the direction the mouse is moved. The structures can be freely rotated in all directions.

Holding down the Ctrl on Windows or Image command_key_web on Mac key on the keyboard while dragging the mouse moves the structure in the direction the mouse is moved. This is particularly useful if the view is zoomed to cover only a small region of the protein structure.

Zoom in (Image zoom_in) and zoom out (Image zoom_out) on the structure is done by selecting the appropriate zoom tool in the toolbar and clicking with the mouse on the view area. Alternatively, click and hold the left mouse button while using either zoom tool and move the mouse up or down to zoom out or in respectively. The view can be restored to display the entire structure by clicking the Fit width (Image fit_width) button on the toolbar (read more about zooming).
