Sequence element information
The Element Info view (
) includes general information about an element and, for sequences imported from files that include descriptive information, such as Genbank or EMBL format files, those details can also be viewed here (figure 14.21).

Entries in the Element Info view of a sequence can include the following:
- Name. The name of the sequence which is also shown in sequence views and in the Navigation Area.
- Description. A description of the sequence.
- Metadata. If the element has associations to a CLC Metadata Table, they are listed here. See viewing metadata associations for further details.
- File info. The file size and whether or not compression is applied to that element.
- Comments. Comments included in the original sequence entry that was imported.
- Keywords. Keywords describing the sequence.
- Db source. Accession numbers in other databases concerning the same sequence.
- Gb Division. The GenBank division.
- Length. The length of the sequence.
- Modification date. Modification date, taken from the original database entry. Changes made after the sequence was imported into the Workbench are recorded in the element's history.
