Noise filters

The 'Noise filters' examine each candidate variant at a more detailed level and filter out those that are likely the result of systematic errors and/or biases, such as those coming from samples preparation steps or sequencing protocol (figure 29.9). These filters should be used with care as there is always the risk of not calling a real variant that has the characteristics of a systematically induced one.
