Cell Annotations for BCR Cell Clonotypes

Unlike T cells which contain at most one copy of a given chain, B cells contain up to two copies of a given chain: two heavy and two light chains (see figure 10.1). The Cell Annotations format used for T cells (Cell Annotations for TCR Cell Clonotypes) cannot capture the complexity of BCR clonotypes. Hence, the output of Convert Clonotypes to Cell Annotations only summarizes which chain types are found for each barcode (see figure 10.8), without any details regarding the segment types, CDR3 sequence, etc.

Figure 10.8: Top: View of Convert Clonotypes to Cell Annotations output from a BCR Cell Clonotypes. The table is filtered to only show the two barcodes with clonotype number 72. Bottom: The BCR Cell Clonotypes element, with clonotype 72 selected. The cell annotations show which chain types are found for each barcode.
