General information

The QCI Secondary Analysis Connector enables users to submit samples for secondary analysis, followed by variant interpretation in QCI Interpret. Submitted samples and secondary analysis results are automatically removed after a retention period of 15 days. It is the responsibility of the user to store local copies of the submitted samples and the generated results.

The system requirements for installing the QCI Secondary Analysis Connector are listed in System requirements.

A user guide is provided in User guide.

Configuration options are provided in Settings.

It is also possible to open QCI Secondary Analysis in a browser by expanding the help menu in the top right of the connector and clicking Open QCI Secondary Analysis. The following tabs are available in the browser:

  1. Analyses: Displays recently submitted sample analyses.
  2. Workflows: Displays information about the secondary analysis workflows that have been activated in the connector (see Managing secondary analysis workflows).
  3. Settings: This tab allows configuration of the following:
    1. The list of users that should be notified by email when a sample analysis completes.
    2. The list of users that should be notified by email when a sample analysis fails.
    3. The list of users that should be added as sample reviewers in QCI Interpret when a completed secondary analysis is submitted for variant interpretation using the connector.
  4. Usage: Displays information on license usage.

In the browser it is also possible to navigate to a help menu that lists information on API endpoints that can be used to integrate with QCI Secondary Analysis programatically instead of using the QCI Secondary Analysis Connector.
