SSL and encryption

The CLC Genomics Server supports SSL communication between the Server and its clients (i.e. Workbenches or the CLC Server Command Line Tools). This is particularly relevant if the server is accessible over the internet as well as on a local network.

SSL communication between Server nodes, i.e. between a master and its job nodes or its grid nodes, is not supported.

The default configuration of the server does not use SSL.
