Transcript discovery
The Transcript discovery tool is the second component in the set of tools in the Ab Initio Transcript Discovery Plug-in. The tool takes read mappings as input and produces gene and mRNA annotations. The annotations are generated by examining the read mapping and identifying likely regions of genes, their exons and splice sites, and, for each gene region, a set of transcript annotations that explain the observed exons and splice sites in this region.
