The track format
The Biomedical Genomics Workbench provides a built-in Genome Browser. This view allows the reference sequenced to be displayed together with other data provided in a so-called track format. One of the big advantages of using tracks is that they allow visualization, comparison, and analysis of genome-scale studies, with all the information tied to genomic positions. A central coordinate-system, provided by a reference genome, makes it possible to view and compare different datasets together in a Genome Browser view. Of course, each track can be viewed individually if desired.
