Gene fusion reporting

When using paired data, there is also an option to create a table summarizing the evidence for gene fusions. And example is shown in figure 27.10.

The table includes the following columns for each part of the pair:

Most importantly, the table lists the number of read pairs that are supporting the combination of genes listed. The threshold for when a combination of genes should be reported in the table can be set in the RNA-Seq dialog in figure 27.9. The default value is 5.

Note that the reporting of gene fusions is very simple and should be analyzed in much greater detail before any evidence of gene fusions can be verified. The table should be considered more of a pointer to genes to explore rather than evidence of gene fusions.
