Setting up the grid integration
The steps for configuring grid integration for a CLC Server, listed below, assume that the CLC Server software is already installed on the master node, and that it is licensed and running.
Summary of the steps to set up grid integration:
- Configure the CLC Server master node: Configuring the master node for a grid setup.
- Ensure licensing for grid workers is in place. This means either that online licenses for execution nodes are available, or if downloaded license files are being used to license the master node, a CLC Network License Manager with one or more available CLC Grid Worker licenses is reachable from the execution hosts in the grid setup.
- Configure the CLC grid licenses as a consumable resource in the local grid system: Configure grid worker licenses as a consumable resource.
- Configure and save grid presets: Configuring grid presets.
- (Optional) Create and configure a
clcgridworker.vmoptionsfile in each deployed CLC Grid Worker area: Configure other grid worker options. - Test the setup by submitting some small tasks to the grid using a CLC Workbench or the CLC Server Command Line Tools.
