Setting up the grid integration
CLC jobs are submitted to a local grid via a special, stand-alone executable called a clcgridworker. In the documentation, this executable is also referred to as the CLC Grid Worker.
The steps to setup a CLC Server with grid integration are listed below, with a link to the manual section covering that topic in detail. It is assumed that your CLC Server software is already installed on the machine that is to act as the master, the license has been downloaded Downloading a License, and the CLC Server has been restarted.
Steps to setup grid integration:
- Configure the CLC Server master node: Configuring the master node for a grid setup.
- Set up grid worker licensing: Setting up grid worker licensing.
- Configure the CLC grid licenses as a consumable resource in the local grid system: Configure grid worker licenses as a consumable resource.
- Configure and save grid presets: Configuring grid presets.
- (Optional) Create and configure a clcgridworker.vmoptions file in each deployed CLC Grid Worker area: Configure other grid worker options.
- Test your setup by submitting some small tasks to the grid via a CLC Server client, such as a CLC Genomics Workbench or the CLC Server Command Line Tools.
