Workflows

The CLC Main Workbench provides a framework for creating, running, distributing and installing workflows. A workflow consists of a series of connected tools where the output of one tool is used as input for another tool, making it possible to analyze many samples using a standardized pipeline. Once a workflow is created, it can be installed on your CLC Workbench or CLC Genomics Server, and it can be shared with colleagues to install on their CLC software.

Examples in this chapter use tools from the CLC Genomics Workbench. Some of these are not available in the CLC Main Workbench. However, the principles described apply equally to tools in CLC Main Workbench.
