Connecting to a CLC Network License Manager from Workbenches
When setting up multiple Workbenches, configuring the network license connection settings without launching each Workbench is an efficient option. To do this:
- Launch a CLC Workbench.
- In the License Manager of that Workbench, choose the option "Configure License Server Connection" and provide the relevant information. Further details about this step are provided in the Workbench manuals: https://digitalinsights.qiagen.com/technical-support/manuals/
- Close the Workbench after the license connection has been configured.
- Find the file called
license.propertiesunder thesettingsfolder in the Workbench installation area. - Copy the
license.propertiesinto thesettingsfolder of each of the other Workbench installations.
The license.properties file contains the following lines, with the information after the = sign based on what was entered via the Workbench License Manager interface.
serverip=your.license.server serverport=6200 disableborrow=false autodiscover=true useserver=true username= usecustomusername=false
